The Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) Coalition was formed to address the child and adolescent mental and behavioral health crisis and seeks to advance policies that improve and enhance mental health services for infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

CAMH is a coalition of organizations dedicated to promoting the mental health and well-being of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Our organizations reflect a diversity of viewpoints and expertise, ranging from clinical providers to child advocates to public health entities to academia. As a coalition, we seek to advance a robust mental health safety net, inclusive of programs, supportive payment models, and infrastructure, that provide the full continuum of mental health care, in a manner that facilitates easy and prompt access to services.

CAMH is dedicated to health equity, with an enhanced focus on special populations including youth of color and historically underserved youth, LGBTQ youth, children with chronic or complex conditions and disabilities.

CAMH seeks to support policies that address:

  • Prevention, Early Identification, and Early Intervention

  • Infants, Children, and Adolescents in Crisis

  • Child and Adolescent Mental and Behavioral Health Workforce

  • Integration of Mental and Behavioral Health into Pediatric Primary Care

  • School-Based Mental Health

  • Insurance Coverage and Payment

  • Mental Health Parity

  • Telehealth

  • Justice-Involved Youth
